It’s a sad state of affairs when you’re a fan of the harder styles, living outside of Sydney, and your mates aren’t as keen to hop on a plane to fly interstate for the weekend as you are. You know you won’t enjoy the festival nearly as much without them. But before you write off the chance to convince your mates it will be well worth the effort, check out Nik Fish’s national tour in August, where he will be promoting the new Defqon.1 Festival CD in clubs around Australia!
'The Fish' has been given the honour to mix and compile one of the 4 CD's of the official Defqon.1 Australia 2010 4 CD-pack, which will be available at Defqon.1 Festival on the 18th of September.
The CD mixed by the Fish features all Australian artists. Nik: "Australia has lots of talented DJ’s and producers and the scene is always growing. With events like Defqon.1 coming downunder this is also a great opportunity for everyone to push themselves here and also on the global stage. So keep making good music and share it to the world and you will have success in your work!"
Nik Fish has been working on his CD since he went overseas to play at Defqon.1 The Netherlands in June this year. "At the CD launch tour we’ll be promoting Defqon.1 to as many people as possible, as it’s an event worth travelling for!" Fish promises.
So if you were perturbed by Defqon.1 taking place outside of your state, maybe this will encourage you and your reluctant mates to hop on a plane and make it to the party!
“Distance is our worst enemy,” states Nik. “Geographically we are not a small country like The Netherlands, and things are not in close proximity of one another. I am very excited about this tour as I get to represent the brand across the country.”
The sound of Defqon.1 is coming to your hometown soon!
